Description
Achieve provides one-on-one tutoring in math and science to students in the comfort of their home. These sessions allow for individualized instruction that tailors to a child's specific needs. We accommodate our clients' schedules, creating a convenient tutoring program for each student. Achieve tutors strive to create a supportive learning environment for our students. We assist students with their homework problems and questions. Our low student to tutor ratio helps keep our sessions effective. We work with students from both private and public schools, including elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as universities. Achieve also provides opportunities for small group tutoring.
Session Structure
Our private tutoring sessions, while adapted to each student's individual needs, follow a basic format.
- Warm-up
- Review returned assignments
- Discuss upcoming major assignments such as tests or quizzes
- Discuss and tutor today's lesson
- Discuss and tutor any upcoming lessons
- Provide student with recommendations, feedback and/or homework
- Record observations
